A Birth Into a New Relationship With God.
The dream began in the countryside of my mother's family, where preparations were underway for a wedding. Many relatives had gathered, and together we boarded a strange vehicle made of connected wagons, linked by chains like a train. The wagons were crowded with people, and we set out to fetch the bride.
The road became narrow and dangerous, winding through steep hills and valleys. In the middle of the road stood a massive stone. The chains caught around it, and the wagons ahead were thrown from the road. Suddenly the ground opened into a vast abyss beneath us. Panic spread among the passengers as our wagon rolled violently downward. Holding on to the seats, I was convinced that I was about to die.
At the bottom of the abyss, I discovered that my feet were terribly wounded. Glass fragments and metal pieces had cut deep beneath my toenails. Bleeding and overcome with despair, I thought there was no escape.
Then a shaft opened above me. Light poured into the darkness, and a man stood at the entrance, inviting me upward. I stepped into the opening, and it carried me back to the surface.
I found myself in the center of Yerevan. The city was completely silent. I walked carefully through a half-circular square lined with ancient gravestones, churches, and Armenian khachkars. Everything felt mysterious and sacred.
Ascending further, I came upon an enormous black stone structure resembling the bow of an ancient ship. Moss covered parts of the stone, and water flowed beneath my feet. As I touched the black surface, I felt an unexpected calm. Looking down, I discovered that my feet had completely healed. Though I remembered the wounds, they had disappeared.
Barefoot and bare-chested, carrying only a small leather bag and a plastic bag, I approached two flower-shaped openings in the stone and climbed through them. Then I saw them.
Two immense black towers rose before me. They stretched so high into the sky that I could not see their ends. One was smaller, while the other was enormous and majestic. I lay upon the stone vessel and gazed upward in complete awe, overwhelmed by the feeling of my own smallness before these immeasurable forms.
At that moment my phone rang. I was told that the bride was ready and that I could return to the wedding. But I could not bring myself to leave. I had encountered something greater than myself, something sacred. Filled with wonder, I remained there, gazing upward into the endless heights.
